Are you looking for something fulfilling to do with your time on a weekly basis? Become an academic tutor at Arlington Mill High School for students who are really in great need of your time. Arlington Mill High School has a classroom specifically designated for tutoring students, which is referred to as the Arlington Mill High School Tutoring Center. The Tutoring Center is in operation from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It is equipped with computers and serves students on a walk-in basis who are interested in receiving help with a number of subjects. All that’s missing from the equation is you–a volunteer willing to commit 2 – 10 hours per week on a flexible schedule to tutor students in need of academic help on homework and classwork assignments. If you’re not able to tutor at this time, maybe you have a friend or colleague who’s able to help. If you’re interested in tutoring, please email Daphne Charles, Communities In Schools Site Coordinator at Arlington Mill High School at charlesd@cisofva.org. Tutoring can very well turn into a mentorship relationship that can truly impact the academic, personal and professional lives of our students. Thank you for considering being involved in this very fulfilling endeavor!
