Help tutor 9th-grade students, assist students with their scholarship applications, serve as a guest speaker on the Leadership Club, and lead college/career preparation workshops.
Communities In Schools of NOVA seeks volunteers to support students attending after-school programs at Glasgow Middle School. At Glasgow Middle School, CIS programs support academic performance, school attendance, and social-emotional learning.
Clubs include the English Language Learner Homework Club, Male Mentoring Group, and Awesome Blossoms.
Help students with their scholarship applications, serve as a guest speaker promoting postgraduate success, participate in the STEM Club, or work one-on-one with students during college/career preparation workshops.
Family Literacy Night

John Adams needs your help to promote literacy in kids through family engagement! Our Site Coordinator Molly Crum, with help from parents and teachers, will be hosting a family literacy night to promote reading at home. Volunteers are needed for event set up and take down. Holiday Workshop

The ACHS Youth in Progress (YIP) program seeks volunteers to help students in grades 9-12 who are facing academic challenges due to difficulties with understanding material, organizational skills, or study habits.
The sessions are held 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at ACHS/Minnie Howard (3801 W Braddock Rd,) and 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Thursdays at ACHS/King Street (3330 King St.).
