At CIS NOVA, we know that showing up for students—consistently and intentionally—can change the trajectory of a life. This spring, that belief came to life through powerful moments across our schools.
At Alexandria City High School, a group of student innovators stepped into the spotlight as part of the Titan Entrepreneurs program. With support from CIS NOVA, these students secured $2,500 in startup funding to bring their business ideas to life. From product pitches to brand development, they’re learning real-world skills—and more importantly, they’re learning to believe in their own potential. It’s a clear reminder: when students are given opportunities, they rise.
Meanwhile, at Red Hill Elementary, students in the Drama Club have been working hard in rehearsals for their end-of-year performance. With every line practiced and every scene blocked, they’ve built more than just a show—they’ve built confidence, creativity, and community. Their recent Friends and Family Dress Rehearsal was a celebration of their growth, and a testament to the magic that happens when students are empowered to express themselves.
And just last month, students across five of our partner schools received free vision screenings and prescription glasses through our partnership with VSP’s Eyes of Hope Vision Bus. With over 240 students served, we broke last year’s record—proving again that when Site Coordinators advocate for the needs they see every day, big things happen. Access to basic health services like this is a game-changer for students, helping them stay focused, confident, and ready to learn.
These stories are just a glimpse into the everyday impact of our Site Coordinators. With every tutoring session, resource connection, and caring conversation, they are breaking down barriers and building brighter futures—one student at a time.

Because when we show up for students, they show up for school.
